BEARS EARS FARMS
The San Juan County farmland used for Bears Ears Farms has been in the Lyman family for over 100 years with devotion given to details, efficiency, and quality in serving the local communities.
Bears Ears Farms was founded in 2017 by the multi-generational farmer, Jana Bailey. We have steadily been building infrastructure to enter and capitalize on the projected trillion-dollar emerging new industry for industrial hemp and its products.
What Makes Bears Ears Farms Different
At Bears Ears Farms, we control and oversee the entire process from seed to sale to maintain and ensure the highest quality control of our hemp products with a proprietary method of processing the flower without solvents or chemicals. All of our hemp plants receive individual, custom-formulated nutrients precisely delivered at each stage of their growth cycle. We then harvest, dry, and cure the plants with our own unique system to remove the chlorophyll smell and taste so only the natural terpenes contained in each variety come through strong.
In the post-curing process, we extract the oil in our on-site processing lab to extract the CBD and CBG oils without using chemicals or solvents. This allows us to create some of the purest, 100% organically grown, high quality, full spectrum CBD products on the CBD market.
We are a 100% organic farm that doesn’t use any pesticides, insecticides, or rapid growth hormones. Our plants receive a very specific nutritional program during their veg and bloom cycles and they all undergo a thorough flushing at the end of their growth cycle to help remove the chlorophyll and “hay” smell which allows the natural terpene aromas to come out.
Bears Ears Farms Facilities
Our facilities are also state-of-the-art with a year-round greenhouse that holds our mother plants and clones, two specially designed indoor grow rooms, 8 high tunnel greenhouses for our summer grows and a 1,200 sq foot kitchen/lab for producing our own line of CBD/CBG products.
We control every aspect from seed to sale or as we like to say, “From our home to yours, the Bears Ears Way”!
Lyman Bailey Family
Jana Lyman Bailey comes from a long line of pioneers and farmers. She’s the 4th generation to live and farm on the Bears Ears Farms land. Her great-grandfather, Walter C. Lyman, and grandfather, Fred S. Lyman, were some of the first people to discover the Blanding, Utah area.
They envisioned great potential and opportunity in developing this land into productive and beautiful farms and decided to settle in this corner of South East Utah.
Lyman Farms was known for growing alfalfa until the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill that legalized hemp production.
